Tampa Bay Derby Darlins

KANSAS CITY, MO -- The first placement bout of the tournament saw two teams skating against each other for the first time; South Central 6 seed Tampa Bay and 10 seed Omaha. Omaha would, at worst, leave this tournament in the same place they entered it, while Tampa’s standing looked much worse after two tough penalty riddled losses.

KANSAS CITY, MO -- South Central 6 seed Tampa Bay Derby Darlins and 8 seed Green Country Roller Girls took to the track in the consolation bracket. This was their first meeting despite being in the same region for years.

KANSAS CITY, MO -- South Central 3 Seed Nashville and 6 seed Tampa took the track against each other for the first time since Nashville defeated Tampa at the Rocket City Rumble mini-tournament in 2009. While Tampa kept the game close, history repeated itself and Nashville won 122 - 102.

The third straight weekend of the WFTDA regional playoffs begins on Friday in Kansas City, MO, as the Kansas City Roller Warriors host the Show Me Der-B-Q. Games begin at 10am Central on Friday, September 30th and conclude on Sunday with the championship at 6:30pm Central.
