PORTLAND, OR -- Sunday’s 7th-place Western Regional playoff game featured 7W Sacred City and 8W Jet City in a rematch from earlier this season in which Sacred City won in Sacremento.
PORTLAND, OR -- The story of Saturday's consolation rounds were essentially the story of 3W Denver and 5W Bay Area crushing seeds 7 through 10. In the first three games of the day involving Bay Area or Denver, the high seed won by an average score of 305-47. 7W Sacred City managed to do a little bit better than that, but they still went down by a massive score of 220-59.
PORTLAND, OR -- 7W Sacred City had to fight the whole game long to hold off a dogged challenge from 10W Angel City, but Angel City was only able to hold the lead on a single jam of the game.
The second straight week of the WFTDA regional playoffs begin on Friday in Portland, OR; Rose City hosts the Bridgetown Brawl. Games begin at 10:30am Pacific on Friday, September 23rd and conclude on Sunday with the championship at 5:30pm Pacific.
