BROOMFIELD, CO -- The top seed from the West, Oly, easily ejected the East's 2 seed in the last quarterfinal of the WFTDA Championships tournament. Oly took the lead on the game's second jam and never trailed again on their way to a 181-95 win and a berth in the semifinals against 2SC Kansas City.

BALTIMORE, MD -- For the fifth year in a row, Gotham and Philly met in the WFTDA East Region playoff tournament, and for the third year in a row, the clash came in the championship match.

BALTIMORE, MD -- Host league and playoff 3 seed hoped to guarantee themselves a trip to Championships with a win over 2 seed Philly, but Philly took over the game late in the first half and kept control to the end to win 153-127. With the win, Philly heads to the Easterns championship for the third year in a row while Charm City heads to the 3rd place game for their third year as well.

BALTIMORE, MD -- After proving that they deserved to be at Regionals, 10 seed London took on a much harder task in the second-seeded Philly. Philadelphia proved to have too much power and experience for the Brits and the first half turned out to be extremely one-sided.

The fifth WFTDA regional playoffs kick off this weekend in Baltimore, MD as the Charm City Roller Girls and DC Rollergirls co-host this year's Eastern Region competition, dubbed "Nightmare on 95." Games begin at 10am Eastern on Friday, September 16 and conclude with Sunday's championship bout at 5pm Eastern.

FEASTERVILLE, PA -- Gotham (#3 DNN, #1 East WFTDA) put up yet another enormous win over regional competition, severely pounding Philly (#7 DNN, #2 East WFTDA) to leave event hosts Philly with a winless ECDX for the first time. Philly only scored on 7 jams in the entire game and took their biggest loss ever to Gotham by a final of 267-34.

FEASTERVILLE, PA -- Rose City (#5 DNN, #4 West WFTDA) became the first team to take down Philly (#7 DNN, #2 East WFTDA) during an ECDX event in Friday's marquee game. Philly came into the bout with an 8-0 lifetime record at their venerable tournament and kept it close for the first 20 minutes, but was on the wrong side of a halftime-spanning, 23-minute-long shutout.

This weekend sees the beginning of a very busy May for Texas (unofficially #12 in the nation via DNN, officially #2 South Central via WFTDA) as they go on an East Coast trip against closely matched East teams Philly (#9 DNN, #2 East WFTDA) and Charm City (#10 DNN, #3 East WFTDA). Texas / Philly is a public game on Saturday night while Charm City hosts Texas in a private match on Sunday morning.

BROOMFIELD, CO -- The Denver Roller Dolls' all-star Mile High Club will host the Philly Rollergirls’ all-star Liberty Belles in a much anticipated rematch from the 2010 season.
