Nashville Rollergirls

BROOMFIELD, CO - The hometown Rocky Mountain Rollergirls, with an eye on returning to the finals to defend their championship title, came in to this opening bout heavily favored against Nashville's Music City All-Stars at the 1st Bank Center. Rocky Mountain's blockers were too strong for Nashville in a penalty-filled first half which ended with a 60-point Rocky Mountain lead.

KANSAS CITY, MO -- When these teams met last year in this same game, Nashville nearly completely shut Atlanta down in the second half to win 132-73 and deny Atlanta a trip to 2010's Championships. This year, Nashville did the same thing, only more so.

Texas won by 184 in 2009 and by 105 in 2010; this time the score landed almost exactly in the middle as Texas won by 143 in a 218-75 final.

KANSAS CITY, MO -- South Central 3 Seed Nashville and 6 seed Tampa took the track against each other for the first time since Nashville defeated Tampa at the Rocket City Rumble mini-tournament in 2009. While Tampa kept the game close, history repeated itself and Nashville won 122 - 102.

CINCINNATI, OH -- In the first game of the 2011 season for both teams, the North Central's Cincinnati was just too much for visiting Nashville out of the South Central. Nashville hung with Cincy for the first ten minutes of each half, but Cincinnati ruled the reminder of the bout to put up a triple digit win, 176-65.
