LINCOLN, NE -- The first half of this game was back and forth, but Nashville took the lead late in the opening period and never let go, en route to a 198-126 victory over 8th-seeded Omaha. They’ll defend their fifth-seed slot tomorrow afternoon, with Omaha tackling the loser of the upcoming No Coast / Tallahassee match-up.

LINCOLN, NE -- In the opening consolation-round bout of Saturday action, 5SC Nashville and 10SC Jacksonville played a surprisingly close game that came down to a long-shot final jam. Going into the last jam Jacksonville was down by just 20 points, but could only halve it against Nashville prevent defense; Nashville got out of the morning battle with a 202-192 victory.

LINCOLN, NE -- 4SC Tampa got their second win of the year over 5NC Nashville in the first quarterfinal match of the South Central playoffs, jumping out to an immediate big lead that they hung on to for the whole bout. Tampa's 154-109 win puts them in the SC semifinals -- and brings Nashville's two-year streak of Championships appearances to an end.

LINCOLN, NE -- For the second time in three years, the No Coast Roller Girls host the WFTDA South Central Playoffs in Lincoln, Nebraska. With nine of the 12 qualifiers for November's WFTDA Championships in Atlanta already set, this weekend will fill out the remaining slots -- and a drawing following the final game will set the bracket for Championships.

BROOMFIELD, CO - The hometown Rocky Mountain Rollergirls, with an eye on returning to the finals to defend their championship title, came in to this opening bout heavily favored against Nashville's Music City All-Stars at the 1st Bank Center. Rocky Mountain's blockers were too strong for Nashville in a penalty-filled first half which ended with a 60-point Rocky Mountain lead.

KANSAS CITY, MO -- When these teams met last year in this same game, Nashville nearly completely shut Atlanta down in the second half to win 132-73 and deny Atlanta a trip to 2010's Championships. This year, Nashville did the same thing, only more so.
