BROOMFIELD, CO -- After an epic near-upset against the heavily favored Oly Rollers to close out Saturday night's action, Kansas City ended up having more trouble with longtime rivals Texas. It was a rematch of October's very closely matched South Central championship bout, and once again the outcome was up in the air until Texas had a solid game-ending run to pull away.

BROOMFIELD, CO - The Kansas City Roller Warriors, after arguably two upset back-and-forth victories, earned this shot at the finals tomorrow. But to get there, they'd have to take on the Oly Rollers, the winningest WFTDA team ever, who have never lost a WFTDA sanctioned game to anyone but Rocky Mountain. Oly rolled over Philly and looked primed to do the same to Kansas City.

BROOMFIELD, CO - An opening, nail-biting victory over Rose City for the Kansas City Roller Warriors set up this well-balanced rematch with the Windy City Rollers, whom they narrowly defeated on their own track back in September. A slightly subdued crowd compared to the frenzy of the previous bout watched a defense-dominated first half where Kansas City crawled to a 42-29 lead at the break.

The fans at 1st Bank Center were not disappointed as the first half saw five lead changes, ending with a 62-58 lead for Rose City.

KANSAS CITY, MO -- The final bout of the tournament had the 2010 South Central champions, the Kansas City Roller Warriors, fight for first place against 2009’s champions, the Texas Texecutioners. The game was intensely close for all but the final few minutes, when Texas began a 40 point run on points that Kansas City could not respond to. Texas emerged a clear victor with a 132-92 win.

In their first meeting Kansas City won decisively 224 - 73. While Atlanta improved the score over the last game it wasn’t by enough to win, and Kansas City romped into the South Central final with a 220-96 win.
