DNN’s Man Behind The Curtain, Gnosis, started as a fan of the Mad Rollin' Dolls in 2004, and it all got out of hand from there. He was the inspired visionary behind LeadJammer.com, the world’s first news site for roller derby. Gnosis served as tracking articles and press from early modern roller derby, and writing and reporting from some of the historical first major events, like the 2006 Dust Devil, from 2005-2008.

In 2008, Gnosis conspired with Justice Feelgood Marshall and Hurt Reynolds to merge LeadJammer with the quickly-growing DNN. The resulting site overhaul was the world’s first and best multi-media roller derby news and broadcast delivery site. Gnosis’ innovations include inventing roller derby boutcasting, after being inspired by the FIFA World Cup textcasts, and helping devise the first ever journalistic rankings of modern roller derby, the DNN Power Rankings.

Under the alias Jason Socha, Gnosis has been steadily employed as a sought after web developer for 14 years in the private/corporate, non-profit, and government sectors. He has led development of such projects as The National Press Club, Global Network, The Cook Political Report, and most recently the Federal Communications Commission.

Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Site Architect of DNN, Gnosis engineered versions 2.0 and 3.0 of the site. He is also integral in the development of the Derbymatic game information database, which has revolutionized roller derby by becoming the only system to track and serve bout scores worldwide. Gnosis resides in chilly but beautiful Madison, WI with the most patient derby widow on the face of the planet, where he can enjoy his Dairyland Dolls and more cheese curds than anyone needs to his heart’s content.
