5/12 vs Denver | It just wasn't Rose City's time yet at Championships, but their first-round battle with Kansas City went right down to the wire and could have easily gone either way. The Portland team doesn't look like they're done improving yet, though, and is a serious threat to finally break Oly and RMRG's three-year lock on the top of the West this year. | ||||

With Kansas City losing some of their key members this year, Nashville will likely be hoping to make a play for #2 in their region by the time tournament season rolls around again. | ||||

Methinks the 7-10 Western teams need to get out and play some 7-10 E and NC teams. You get past 6 W and the West disappears.
Underdogs...again
The KC Roller Warriors seem to go into every Championships as the underdog but once again, they "surprised" everyone. Despite a depleted, sick and injured jammer rotation, they took a very respectable 4th place in spite of being forced to jam 3 blockers in their final 2 games, nearly beating Oly to play in the final game with Gotham.
A huge congratulations to KCRW for a great 2011 and I look forward to your 2012 season!
Sioux Falls vs. London
I believe that it was Sioux Falls, and not Sioux City that made the London trip! You can read all about it because Sioux Falls is the WFTDA featured league for this month!
