BERLIN, GERMANY--Central City and Glasgow were fighting to avoid tenth place in the opening bout of the final day of Track Queens: Battle Royal. A 51-0 opening run gave Glasgow the cushion they needed to absorb a hatful of jammer penalties later in the game and finish 208-149 winners.

BERLIN, GERMANY -- Crime City opened up an early lead, but the game turned on two consecutive power jams for Gent halfway through the first period. Track Queens Semifinal: London Dismisses Auld Reekie, 475-28

BERLIN, GERMANY--The first semifinal of Track Queens: Battle Royal was the third bout of the second day, and saw a rematch of the most lopsided bout in WFTDA history--London's 667-18 demolition of Auld Reekie earlier in 2012. While the result was never in doubt, it was clear from the very first jam it wasn't going to be as much of a blowout this time around.

Track Queens Consolation: Crime City Arrests Glasgow, 171-145

BERLIN, GERMANY--An increasingly raucous crowd cheered on the second bout of the second day of Track Queens in a bout that was as much of a nailbiter as many of the bouts on day one. Track Queens: London Finishes Helsinki, 584-37

BERLIN, GERMANY--Tournament favourites and DNN #11 London Rollergirls took on Helsinki in the penultimate bout of the first day of Track Queens: Battle Royal. They were never in danger of being victims of the day's fourth seeding upset against ninth-seed Helsinki, and delivered a 584-37 blowout despite giving habitual jammer Kamikaze Kitten a break from jamming for the entire second period.

Track Queens: Stockholm Denies Glasgow, 205-134

BERLIN, GERMANY--After the first three games had all resulted in upsets, Stockholm started their bout against Glasgow with reason to worry about the tournament six seeds--but while a 73-4 run from Glasgow towards the end of the first period showed they had reason to worry, it was the Swedes who ended up comfortable 205-134 winners after a dominant second-half display.

Track Queens: Auld Reekie Scotches Central City, 160-142

BERLIN, GERMANY--The first quarter-final of Track Queens: Battle Royale was fought between two British teams who knew each other quite well--Birmingham's Central City Rollergirls and Edinburgh's Auld Reekie Rollergirls. CCR had got the better of Auld Reekie in their last encounter, but it was Auld Reekie who took the win this time, 160-142.

Track Queens: Gent Shocks Leeds, 202-147

BERLIN, GERMANY -- The second bout of the day saw the 10-seeded Gent Go Go Roller Girls, the only Belgian team in the tournament, upset 7-seeded Leeds Roller Dolls and will get the chance to take on tournament hosts and second seeds Berlin in the final quarterfinal tonight.

Preview: Track Queens: Battle Royal

BERLIN, GERMANY: Oh, you thought tournament season was over? You thought you were all done with minors in sanctioned play? And perhaps you even thought you had seen your last regional tournament. Well, 2012 has some life left in it yet.
