WILMINGTON, MA--DNN #21 Boston started out as big sisters to DNN #17 Montreal as the Canadians made their way into WFTDA in 2007, and that sibling rivalry has remained even though the New Skids have been on top since 2011. This time out Montreal kept their winning streak safe, and took the bout 188-117.
(19) Angel City Defrocks Sacred, 243-139
LOS ANGELES, CA--Sacred City’s Sacrificers played Angel City’s Hollywood Scarlets on Angel City’s home track for the first time since 2010 this past Saturday. Angel managed to shrug off both their heart-rending last jam loss at regionals and a 1-6 record against their local rivals to go 4-0 in sanctioned play so far in 2013 with a 243-139 win.
WFTDA Releases Rankings; Gotham shock #1
Today WFTDA released the first results of their mathematical ranking calculator, for games up to the end of February. While DNN #1 Gotham’s position at #1 surprises no-one, there are a few surprising entries further down.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- In the undercard match for Sunday afternoon's Windy City vs Naptown battle, the Demolition City Dynamite Dolls (Evansville, IL) used solid slow walls -- along with effective speed-exploitation on a series of jammer penalties -- to run up a huge 80-point first-half lead against Naptown's B team, the Warning Belles.

The 2013 edition of Wild West Showdown features 15 WFTDA leagues spanning all three of the WFTDA's new divisions. The tournament, hosted by the Slaughter County Roller Vixens, takes place Friday through Sunday on two tracks in Bremerton, WA.

WFTDA Releases 2013 Ruleset
On Monday, November 19, the Women's Flat Track Derby Association released the most recent update to its ruleset. Beginning on January 1, 2013, all WFTDA-sanctioned games must be played under the new ruleset.

Track Queens Final: London Decimates Berlin, 448-47
BERLIN, GERMANY -- Despite following a tournament full of ranking upsets, it fell to the top two seeds to battle it out at the end of Track Queens: Battle Royal. Almost inevitably it was the London Rollergirls who came out as champions--and the 448-47 win for London Brawling over the Berlin Bombshells gave the Londoners their first trophy for two and a half years.
Track Queens 3rd Place: Stockholm Sneaks Past Auld Reekie, 149-139
BERLIN, GERMANY--The penultimate bout of Track Queens: Battle Royal saw Edinburgh's fifth seed the Auld Reekie Rollergirls take on a three-seeded Stockholm side.
Track Queens 5th Place: Helsinki Torpedoes Gent, 179-169
BERLIN, GERMANY -- The third game of day three of Track Queens may have only been for fifth place, but was arguably the most anticipated of the weekend so far. The tournaments biggest rising stars faced off--and Helsinki held off a late charge from Gent to take fifth with a 179-169 win, a result which saw both teams improve their initial placement by four.
Track Queens 7th Place: Leeds Outruns Crime City, 152-115
BERLIN, GERMANY -- Leeds Roller Dolls faced off against Malmo's Crime City Rollers in the second game of day three of Track Queens in the battle for seventh place. The Rebel Roses went on a 68-4 run at the end of the first half before using the second half to prove that a good offence is indeed the best defence to hold on for a 152-115 win.
