Justin.TV please!

Please use Justin.TV for this bout as some of us would really like to see it but can't watch it live. Even with their cut down archive time it would still give a few days to catch the bout.

/Yes, I know...if wishes were fishes...

It's not that simple

We're not using Justin.tv for this bout specifically because we want to be sure that there *is* an archive.

As you point out, Justin.tv cut down their auto-archive time starting about three month ago, but that's not all -- there have also been many, many broadcasts that simply never hit their archives in the first place. Last weekend's tournament in Bogota is one example; much of Flat Track Fever and the Dust Devil were also lost because they never appeared in the first place (thankfully, we have Dust Devil DVDs).

While you can't as easily go find a "past broadcast" in a Livestream.com account until it has been made available by the account holder as a VOD clip, we feel like that's a reasonable tradeoff for the certainty that the archive will, in fact, exist!

Furthermore, we reactivated our Pro account in support of The Great Southern Slam, which means no third-party ads, no intrusive streaming service bug, etc etc. We have a substantial chunk of usage quota left, so we're going to use it to improve the viewer experience for other events whenever we can.

The bottom line: we do actually know what we're doing, and there are good reasons for it.

Once again Hurt is to voice of reason

Sorry Hurt. It was a knee jerk reaction to the prospect of not being able to watch live not only a great bout but one of the ones that will hopefully help shakeout the rankings for the Western Regional. I am sure DNN knows what they are doing with this boutcast.

THANK YOU DNN!

WE LOVE YOU.
Lots.
