No Rice Rocket??

Noooooooooooooo! :(
Please tell me she's not retired or anything!

Rice Rocket??

She is retired, and she is also one of my all time favorite skaters. Maybe she will come back one day.

*sad face*

:(
She was awesome at Championships last year. SO glad I got to see her play before retirement in that case!

Rice Rocket is "retired"

She did play in a Texas Hotrod Honeys game in Baltimore this June vs Charm City's b-team Female Trouble.

hmmm

She is on their website, but I know that's no real indicator as sometimes these things aren't updated regularly. Maybe she's just not travelling so much right now...

Rice ...

... is around derby. She has taught me a bunch of excellent low-traffic bike routes around Austin and one ab-muscle-requiring jam-skating move. But yeah, 'retired'.

Also, I got pulled over by the Texas Highway Patrol on my bike en route to watch this game at the TXRG viewing party. Apparently stop signs are not optional, even in Texas, even if you apologise very abashedly in a charming Australian accent and most astonishingly, even if you have a Very Important derby-watching deadline. Who knew? (Although I only got a warning and am not being deported. Phew. But the Texas Highway Patrol are kind of scary. I stopped at the stop signs on my way home.)

Rice ...

the exact same thing happend to me on my first night in Charleston WV... apparently those Americans take those stop signs very serious ;-)

To bad rice is 'retired' hopefully she'll be back soon... she's just such a awesome skater!!

Stop signs are Optional...

...just not in front of cops. They take their jobs a bit too seriously. They also just received a mandate from their boss to ramp up the ticketing in central Austin.
