Puget Sound Wins First Men’s Flat-Track Tournament

Reports are coming in from this weekend’s groundbreaking “Throwdown In The Sound” men’s derby tournament in Puget Sound, Washington — a round robin between the hosting Puget Sound Derby Outcasts, the Dallas Deception, Twin City Terrors (from St. Paul, Minnesota) and Diamond City Death Kings (from Wilkes-Barre, PA). Men’s flat-track has been slowly increasing in visibility from halftime entertainment to 30 minute pre-game expos to full bouts, but Throwdown stands as the very first all-men’s flat-track tournament.

The hometown Puget Sound went through the tourney undefeated, besting Diamond City in the championship bout 83-41 to take the title.

1. Puget Sound Derby Outcasts (3-0)
2. Dallas Deception (3-1)
3. Diamond City Death Kings (1-2)
4. Twin City Terrors (0-4)
