RollerCon 2008 raised over 10k by raffling off a panoply of awesome donated goods to benefit severely injured skater Tequila Mockingbird. Only one problem: most prizes went unclaimed! DNN begins auctioning off the rest today.

After a busy and exciting tournament season, the staff at Derby News Network is taking a welcome long holiday weekend off. We're thankful for all the support the derby community has given us this year, and especially for yesterday's founders and today's skaters for bringing us this sport we love. On the final day of RollerCon 2008, a visibly exhausted Moose Ondaluce interviews a visibly exhausted Evil Doll from the Sun State Roller Girls in Brisbane, Australia; a visibly exhausted WFTDA President, Crackerjack; a visibly exhausted Hurricane Sioux from Sacramento's Sacred City Derby Girls; and a visibly exhausted RollerCon GM, Ivanna S. Pankin.

One big change and a flurry of little ones mark a update from the WFTDA Rules Committee as some tweaks and modifications are made to the current ruleset.

The Moose continues to be loose, interviewing Gypsy Pickles from Team Hawaii, Carr Wreck of Team Alaska, Lali O of the SF Bombers, Queen Anne's Revenge of Salt City, Kamikaze Kim from Duke City and announcer WundaMike from TXRD.

Moose Ondaluce interviews Dirty Marty, Mack the Mouth, Dumptruck, and Bob Noxious. Also, Dirty Marty interviews Isabelle Ringer, and Mack interviews Tie Die and Fubar Bunday of the East v. West Canada Teams.

Moose Ondaluce interviews roller derby legends Jerry Seltzer and Loretta "L'il Iodine" Behrens; Georgia W. Tush, Montreal Roller Derby and Derby Luv contributor; and Bazooka Joe, Pioneer Valley Roller Derby.
