DNN and DerbyLife at RollerCon 2012

RollerCon 2012 starts Wednesday, and it's definitely in shape to be the biggest roller derby event ever -- nearly double the size of last year, with 7 tracks (!) and over 5000 people confirmed attending! DNN and DerbyLife will have a lot going on, so we wanted to give you a quick rundown of what we're up to and where you can find us.

DNN/DerbyLife vendor booth

Our headquarters during the event, located along the south side of the feature track. Lots going on there:

• FREE DerbyLife after party calling cards! You'll get a sampling in your RollerCon registration bag -- collect all ten, or find the perfect one for the sentiment you're trying to express.
• Electronics charging concierge service: drop off your phone or other device and we'll charge it up for you. No cost, but contributions to benefit DNN are suggested.
• DerbyLife Exclusive! Moustache keychains from Merch Mama, the perfect accessory for RollerCon shenanigans. Must see.
• 2010 Premium item available again: DNN sticker sets
• 2011 Premium shirts and jackets: a *very* limited number remain, and will be made available at 2011 contribution levels.
• Footage viewing: we'll have video from a wide variety of bouts running throughout the event.

Derbyverse presents RollerCon SQUEEcam!

Your next 15 seconds of fame. One hour per day, Todd Bradley from the Derbyverse series will set up his camera at the booth and capture your moment of RollerCon SQUEE! Check the booth to find out the time each day, or catch daily announcements on Twitter.

Hands-on broadcast training

As a fundamental part of DNN's mission, we provide free internet broadcast training to any derby league that wants it. At RollerCon, we'll offer that training face to face, by appointment. If you're interested, get in touch through the Submit form or drop by the DNN booth to request a training session. If you have a computer and/or a camera you'd like to use for broadcast, please bring them for evaluation and setup.

Avid students will get a chance to apply their skills during actual live broadcasts later in the week!

Live bout broadcasts

This year, RollerCon features six full WFTDA bouts between five top-ranked teams: Denver Roller Dolls, Rocky Mountain Rollergirls, Philly Roller Girls, Minnesota RollerGirls, and Rose City Rollers. Schedule information here. DNN will provide live single-camera* coverage of all six bouts. Depending on broadcast-trainee participation, we may add other RollerCon bouts to our platter!
