World Cup Elimination Round Set

Using win-loss records and point spread tiebreakers from the round-robin portion of the tournament, the organizers of the Roller Derby World Cup announced the seeding for the elimination round. Top seed USA, 2 seed Canada and 3 seed England receive first-round byes. The full seeding is as follows:

1 USA
2 Canada
3 England
4 Australia
5 Sweden
6 France
7 Ireland
8 Germany
9 New Zealand
10 Finland
11 Brazil
12 Argentina
13 Scotland

There are four elimination-round games scheduled for Friday:

5:30 pm - Australia v Scotland
6:00 pm - Sweden v Argentina
7:30 pm - France v Brazil
8:00 pm - Ireland v Finland

On Saturday, elimination action continues as follows:

9:30am: (8) Germany vs (9) New Zealand
11:30am: Winner of (4) Australia / (13) Scotland vs winner of (5) Sweden / (12) Argentina
1:30pm: (1) USA vs Winner of (8) Germany / (9) New Zealand
2:30pm: (3) England vs Winner (6) France / (11) Brazil
3:30pm: (2) Canada vs Winner (7) Ireland / (10) Finland

No. You have to glean it from subtle postings by the DNN staff by their "boutcast schedule." Apparently there is a whole consolation bracket for determing placements that I wasn't even aware of until it was mentioned at the end of the Australia-Scotland bout.

Elimination bracket

This is a GREAT event! But maybe someone can help me figure out the elimination bracket. If using win/loss records and point spreads for tie breakers, how did France (1-2) and minus 168 points, get seeded ahead of Ireland (1-1) and -22, as well as Germany (1-1) and -59? My math might be off, but I don't get it.

Your maths is correct, but you're missing one thing. France got to play one extra game, and so their result vs the group winner was removed from the calculations to give them a two-game total to work from--leaving them effectively 1-1 as well.
