About 5 seconds worth of roller derby in this new Nike commercial, but it's worth it.

Spider-Man goes to a "Gotham Girls" match. Names of the teams have been changed to protect the innocent (or, more likely, to protect somebody's ass from a lawsuit) but they did get the location and the uniforms (mostly) right.

Via Queen of the Rink, a couple of fun videos from the Minnesota home-team championship a couple of weeks back, as Wet Spot attaches a camera to the infamous MNRG air cannon to create … Cannon-Confetti-Cam!

From Cape Fear, a clever promo video demonstrating the importance of a good clearing block.

Well, that didn't take long.

We're glad to see that The Derby Nerd is back and updating a very informative, very awesome blog centered around Canadian derby in general and Toronto derby specifically -- some of the best hard sportswriting we've seen in roller derby.

Oh, and finally, speaking of Canada … you know the problem with Montreal? They might be good skaters and everything, but they're just not any fun at all.
