BALTIMORE, MD - Charm City local team Mobtown Mods finished off the Charm City season opening quadruple-header by taking on the DC Demoncats in a 30 minute bout. The Mods would debut #007 Indie Skies, #341 Roxy Balboa, #5150 Neurotic Tendency and #2 O'Chit, a recent transfer from Dutchland.
The Demoncats fired first with a 2-0 from Camilla the Hun over O'Chit, followed by a 0-0 and then a 3-0 by ShREDica over Lady Quebeaum. Charm City's Mya Bloody Valentine hit back, however, with a 10-0 off of the defense of Thoroughbled, Roxy Balboa, Neurotic Tendency and Bambi's Revenge over Ovary Reaction. Dosa Badazz inherited a power jam from Mya and was able to extend the Mods' lead with a 14-0 jam, but ended her jam in the box as well. DC's Mini Vandal took the power jam to 5-0 despite a mixup that left only four DC skaters on the track. Camilla the Hun then skated a 14-0 in a power jam against O'Chit to tie the score up at 24-24.
In the 11th jam of the bout, DC's Camilla the Hun found herself cooling her skates in the penalty box due to a major track cut and the Mods' O'Chit punished her with a 15-0 jam. That proved to be the beginning of the end for the Demoncats' hopes. Two jams later, the Baltimore fan favorite Lady Quebeaum had a 3-2 pack advantage and a power jam and rode it to a loud 19-0 bringing the score up to 66-26 with under 10 minutes remaining. The Mods held even with the exception of Indie Skies' 13-4 jam over Mini Vandal and a 19-8 jam over Camilla the Hun to end the game 109-47 with the biggest spread of the night and a successful season opener for Charm City.
The Mods' highest scorers were Lady Quebeaum with 23 points and +5.00 point differential per jam and Indie Skies with 36 points and a +7.33 point differential per jam. Their defense was led by O'Chit, Thoroughbled, Bambi's Revenge and Neurotic Tendency; the first three having greater than +5.00 point differential per jam and Neurotic showing a +7.14 point differential per jam.
The Demoncats' scoring was led by Mini Vandal with 14 points and Camilla the Hun with 33 points. Their defensive leaders were Ovary Reaction and Mini Vandal with a +0.88 and +2.00 point differential per jam respectively.
