Here are some quick highlights from the 2010 East Coast Derby Extravaganza, courtesy PhillyRollerGirls.com and SAMREYE.com (but you've really got to watch it in HD, fullscreen, which you have to go to Vimeo to do).

Wow.

That is beautiful. Can't wait to see the rest!

Que the violins

Geez...sappy music and derby gets me [right here] every time.
Nice work!

Beautiful

This guy has some great footage and major style. I hope to see him at Nationals!

just wow

This is probably the first time I've ever seen a derby video without the rock/punk/rap background music. This got me all verklempt.
Nicely done.

We heart Sam.R.eye!

Sam.R.eye has been an amazing addition to our Media Team (going on a few years now) - as you can see, he has super mad skills. He filmed one of our home bouts last year in 3-D and I can't wait to see the final product along with all the ECDX recaps!

I Second this Sentiment

Sammy is fantastic and this video is another awesome example of his work! Can't wait to see more!

I Third this Sentiment

In addition to being a rad videographer, Sam.R.Eye is an excellent car companion in the event you ever find yourself lost on the turnpike and yelling at a tollbooth operator about not having a ticket because you were never given a ticket. Not that this happened in Philly or anything...

Terrific!

Seriously, this is great work. I wish every derby bout had video quality this good (one can dream). I can't wait for these recaps.

hot damn

i love this sport.

Mmmmm

God, I love me some good roller derby porn/montage to drool over!

Slow Derby

I spotted some interesting slow derby in that video - we haven't really explored that so far in Australia. Can anyone link me to a full jam, or decent length video that shows a slow pack? I'm extremely curious to watch it in action...
