Okay this post has been up for a half a day, and with no responses yet I assume people are simply scared to respond to it with their innermost derby thanks. Either that, or they're trapped at their parents' house watching parades all weekend.

I'll kick things of by thanking Al Gore for inventing the internet. Next?

that i found such a wonderful sport to participate in. i dunno what exactly i'd be doing without it. probably having anxiety attacks from too much grad school and not enough fun. the last 3 years of my life have been top notch thanks to roller derby. so i have to give thanks where thanks are due. :)

i'm also thankful for my family who is super supportive of what i do, my awesome non-derby friends that put up with me talking about derby stuff nonstop, my amazing teammates and derby sisters in my league, my derby friends from other leagues who are fantastic folks to be drunk texting at all hours of the day even when i'm not in the same city as them, a very awesome guy who has been more than patient with me being so stressed out the past few weeks while i'm wrapping up the semester, my super amazing profs who are giving me rec letters so i can go get my doctorate in chicago, and the fact that the semester is almost over and i can cease being a basketcase that speaks almost entirely in nerd-i-nese.

oh yeah...and grippy wheels with metal hubs and coffee. there. i'm done.

all the wonderful people I've met in the past three years, and TXRD, without which I wouldn't be quite as interested in derby as I am today.
