Friction Vixxxen sends along a jam-by-jam line score from KCRW's Saturday win over Denver:
Period 1 – 30 min
Jam 1. Dominant Jean from Kansas City lined up against Denver’s Angela Death. Jean got lead jammer status and started Kansas City off with a 4-0 jam. Denver would never lead against Kansas City.
Jam 2. Kansas City’s Dee Claw lined up against Sheila Tack (having returned to derby only 1 month prior following the birth of her son). With no LJ called, Sheila Tack managed to score 3 points before being sent to the penalty box, but Dee Claw widened Kansas City’s lead considerably by scoring another 14 points.
Jam 3. Sheila Tack started in the penalty box and Jade Lightning for Kansas City. Jade secured LJ and managed to rake in another 5 points. Meanwhile, Sheila Tack emerged from the penalty box for a short time before being sent back in without scoring any points. The score stands at 21-3, Kansas City.
Jam 4. Sheila Tack started in the penalty box again and Kansas City put Snot Rocket on the line. Snot secured LJ and scored another 14 points for Kansas City to Sheila Tack’s 0 points, bringing the score to 35-3, Kansas City.
Jam 5. Denver put Angela Death on the line against Ami Geddon for Kansas City. Angela Death got LJ and managed to have the first jam that went to Denver with a 4-0 jam against AG. 35-7, Kansas City.
Jam 6. Dominant Jean for Kansas City lined up against Slick Vick, a Denver rookie. Jean gets LJ (the first of 6 in a row for Kansas City) and scores 5 points. Patti Wackin had a jammer takeout on Slick, who later went to the penalty box with 0 points.
Jam 7. Dee Claw for Kansas City versus Jersey Trouble for Denver. Disco-A-Gogo scores a jammer takeout on Dee, but Dee Claw still manages to score 3 points to Jersey Trouble’s 0. Score is 43-7, Kansas City.
Jam 8. Jade Lightning against Sheila Tack. Jade secures LJ and scores 8 points and Sheila is sent to the penalty box again, but not before scoring the most points for Denver so far in a jam, 7. Score: 51-14, Kansas City.
Jam 9. Snot Rocket takes LJ and her biggest jam of the night with 19 points against Sheila Tack who started in the penalty box but eked out 1 point. Score jumps to 70-15, Kansas City.
Jam 10. Ami Geddon takes LJ and scores 5 points against Angela Death’s 6 points. Score: 75-21, Kansas City.
Jam 11. Dominant Jean versus Jersey Trouble. Jean gets Lead but Jersey keeps the score a net zero gain with a 4-4 jam against her.
Jam 12. Sheila Tack takes the Lead against Jade Lightning, but Jade scores 8 points against Sheila Tack’s 3. Score: 87-28.
Jam 13. Angela Death secures LJ but scores 0 points while Snot Rocket adds another 3 for Kansas City.
Jam 14. Ami Geddon gets LJ and locks in another point against Jersey Trouble who went to the penalty box and scored 0 points.
Jam 15. Slick Vick takes the LJ for Denver and scores 3-0 against Dee Claw.
Jam 16. Final jam of the period and Kansas City puts in their captain Bruz-Her to jam against Denver’s Angela Death. Bruz secures LJ and scores 6 points, but Angela Death locks in 9 for Denver, bringing the end of the period score to 97-40, Kansas City.
Period 2 – 30 min
Jam 1. Dominant Jean starts out the period as Lead Jammer once more and scores 4-4 against Denver’s Sheila Tack.
Jam 2. Jade Lightning takes LJ and scores 5-0 over Angela Death. Score: 106-44, Kansas City.
Commentary Note: When observing the scores of the following 9 jams, Kansas City is held to 0 points in all but 3 of them. However, while Denver stepped up the defense, their jammers were unable to close the sizeable gap as Kansas City’s defense was just as effective holding Denver to minimal points.
Jam 3. Jersey Trouble then starts the first of 2 jams non-scoring runs for Kansas City with LJ and a 1-0 jam over Snot Rocket.
Jam 4. Jade Lightning takes LJ but Slick Vick takes another net gain of 1-0.
Jam 5. Dominant Jean scores 4-2 over Angela Death.
Jam 6. Sheila Tack takes LJ against Snot Rocket but doesn’t manage to make headway with a 4-4 jam. Score 114-52, Kansas City.
Jam 7. Jersey Trouble takes the Lead (first of 5 in a row for Denver) against Ami Geddon who is sent to the penalty box. Jersey Trouble picks up 5 points to Ami’s 0. Score: 114-57, Kansas City.
Jam 8. Jersey Trouble lines up again against Ami who starts in the penalty box. Jersey Trouble takes Lead and has a 2-0 jam over AG.
Jam 9. Jade Lightning takes on Slick Vick who takes LJ but only scores 3 to JL’s 4 points. Score: 118-62, Kansas City.
Jam 10. Angela Death secures LJ against Dee Claw but despite having LJ and Dee Claw being sent to the box, Angela Death only manages to pick up a 1-0 jam over Dee Claw.
Jam 11. For a complete change of pace, Missle Toes is on the line for Kansas City against Denver’s Berlin Brawl. MT picks up LJ but BB takes the lead with a 4-2 jam.
Jam 12. Missile Toes goes back to the line against Sheila Tack and there is no Lead Jammer. Oddly enough, there were also no points scored. Imagine that, a full 2 minute jam with a 0-0 score. Score: 120-67, Kansas City.
Jam 13. Snot Rocket takes LJ over Jersey Trouble and does more point stacking with a 13-6 jam. Score: 133-73, Kansas City.
Jam 14. Dominant Jean on the line against Angela Death. Angela Death takes LJ but only brings in 1 point to Jean’s 4. Score 137-74, Kansas City.
Jam 15. Ami Geddon takes the lead over Slick Vick, who makes a trip to the penalty box. Ami picks up 13 points over Slick’s 2. Score 150-76.
Jam 16. Dee Claw starts on the line while Slick starts in the penalty box. Dee gets sent to the box before breaking through the pack and it’s a jammerless jam and called off.
Jam 17. Final Jam. Bruz-Her lines up again as Kansas City’s period closer and Denver puts their star Angela Death on the line. Angela secures LJ and manages to pick up 4 points while Denver keeps Bruz-Her to 0.
Final Score: Kansas City 150 – Denver 80.
