So they call off the jam if the pack is split, then reset all of the skaters but keep the lead jammer assignment the same? That's... unique. Also, I didn't know that the pack had to consist of five skaters?

Seems like an awful lot of
Seems like an awful lot of work - stopping the jam, resetting play, but with no changes to anything else. Much easier to do it the way the rest of WFTDA leagues do and simply suspend blocking and call for reformation -- same effect, less annoying stoppage.
